Weekly Intentions: Week 38

September 18, 2023 by Julia Leave a Comment

Happy Monday, friends!

I’m coming to you after a long weekend full of introspection, reflection, and prayers of gratitude. Autumn always feels like a clean slate, a new beginning, with the change of the weather to chillier days and the school rhythm well underway. Taking a few days to pause was a nourishing experience and one I always recommend when these shifts in the weather and light happen.

Here on Little Hilltop Farm, it’s a season of harvesting veg, flowers, and poultry. I never thought I would become someone who raises their own meat or produce, but over the weekend, we enjoyed a homegrown roast chicken, pumpkin sauce made with our sugar pie pumpkins, and homemade pear and delicious instant pot apple butter, all raised with love and care on our farm. It is a very humbling and empowering experience!

The week ahead is once again full of ambitions, deadlines, and tending to the people, animals, and things that fill all of the hours. I’ve crafted my list of new intentions below, and I’ve included the list from last week-so you can see what got done…and what still remains.
