Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here!
Harvest, create, connect
I’ve been a maker for as long as I can remember—cooking, crafting, and creating in all forms has always brought me joy. At the same time, I’ve struggled with allergies, especially to personal and home care products. These two worlds came together in 2011 when I was searching for a gentle, natural remedy for my son’s eczema and realized I could make one myself, right in my kitchen. That discovery sparked a deep passion for blending herbal knowledge with everyday living. Since then, I’ve been exploring the many ways a garden can nourish both body and home. A Farm to Keep is where I share that journey with you.

It’s time to connect with your creativity
This blog is dedicated to helping you connect with your creativity through simple, nature-inspired projects and recipes.
I believe creativity isn’t just something we do—it’s how we experience the world. Creativity flourishes when we slow down and engage with the natural world around us, whether through the vibrant colors of pressed flowers, the soothing scent of herbal infusions, or the joy of growing a garden with intention.
Here at A Farm to Keep, I share projects, recipes, and ideas that invite you to weave nature into your creative practice—whether through garden-inspired crafts, herbal remedies, or sustainable DIY projects. I hope that this space inspires you to embrace creativity as a form of nourishment, helping you slow down, reconnect with nature, and find beauty in the everyday.
I’m so glad you’re here—let’s grow, create, and find inspiration together.
About Julia
For nearly two decades, I’ve been an arts and outdoor educator, guiding children and adults in discovering the transformative power of creating by hand in rhythm with the seasons. I’ve seen firsthand how crafting with nature cultivates mindfulness, deepens our connection to the earth, and brings simple, meaningful joy into daily life. As a self-taught gardener, lifelong creative, and ever-curious yogi, I find inspiration in the timeless processes and traditions of handcraft—methods that have engaged human hands for centuries, now reimagined for the modern era. Sharing these practices is my passion, helping others embrace creativity as a way to slow down, reconnect, and find beauty in the everyday.
