Before we begin our story, first things first. Social media is a finicky friend, and in 2023 I lost my entire social media account. Over a decade of community building was gone in an instant. What remained? This website and my email newsletter. As long as this website exists, I will continue sharing recipes, crafts, and homemade living support that will help you along your journey.
The only way you will never miss a new post or video is by joining my email list. I will also send you a copy of my 15-Day Slow Down Challenge! Join below.👇
Welcome to A Farm to Keep
Welcome to A Farm to Keep, a space dedicated to celebrating the simple joys of a homegrown and handmade life.
Inspired by our own family’s journey, we created this blog to share our recipes, crafts, and tips. We believe that by embracing a slower pace and nurturing our connection to nature, we can create a more meaningful and sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come.
Here, you’ll find:
- Farm-Fresh Recipes: Nourishing meals made with love and local ingredients. One of our family’s favorites is Instant Pot Lentil Soup with NO Tomatoes.
- Handmade Crafts: DIY projects to spark your creativity and beautify your home. Have fun crafting with herbs when you make Rose-Petal Infused Body and Hair Oil.
- Lifestyle Tips: Practical advice for living a more sustainable and fulfilling life. Make homemade laundry detergent or natural herb-infused room spray.
Join us as we explore the benefits of a homegrown and handmade lifestyle, from improved health and reduced environmental impact to stronger family bonds and increased mindfulness. Let’s create a legacy together, one stitch, one meal, and one mindful moment at a time.
About Julia
I’ve always dreamed of a simpler life, and now I’m lucky enough to live it on our small farm in Northern California. Our days are filled with the practical joys of farming—tending to our chickens, planting our garden, and harvesting fresh produce.
Before embracing farm life, I dedicated my career to youth development, publishing, and education. These experiences instilled in me a lifelong love of learning and a passion for sharing knowledge.
My true joy lies in the simple pleasures of a handmade life. Whether it’s crafting with loved ones, losing myself in a good book, or cooking delicious meals from scratch, I find peace and purpose in these activities. I’m excited to share my journey with you and inspire you to embrace a more sustainable and fulfilling lifestyle.
